Privacy statement for applicants and the Electronic Application Procedure

Purpose of the data processing and personal data

The subject matter of data protection is personal data (Art. 4 (1) GDPR). It covers individual information about personal or factual circumstances, e.g. name, address, e-mail-address or telephone number, which you provide as part of the application procedure:

  • Personal master data (e.g. applicant name, address, date of birth
  • Communications data (e.g. telephone number, e-mail)
  • Applicant résumé (e.g. professional career, supplementary activities, leisure activities)
  • Results of pre-selection tests (e.g. tests, interviews)
  • Operational data (e.g. status, appointments/dates)


Your personal data shall be electronically recorded and used exclusively for the purpose of the application management.

Legal basis

Data is processed on the basis of Article 6 (1) (b) and Article 88 GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 (1) German Federal Data Protection Act for the initiation of an employment contract, resp.in case of processing your data for inclusion in our Talent Pool acc. to Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 sub-section 2 sentence 1 FDPA.

Categories of recipients

Your data will not be transferred to third parties. As we use service providers that have been separately bound to maintain confidentiality and protect data necessary for our information technologies, in this context, the access to personal data cannot be excluded. Categories of recipients except of management and personnel manager as well as relevant divisions are service providers relating hosting, support and maintenance of this website as well as external consultants. Data disclosure to authorities requires the existence of overriding statutory provisions. There is no transmission of data to other countries.

Order processing

Based on a separate data processing agreement, your personal data shall be processed on our behalf by

within the scope of contract processing pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR in accordance with the relevant legal requirements. Nevertheless, this is not to be considered as transfer of your personal data to third parties in the legal sense of data protection. Storage period and deletion of data

Your data will be stored for the duration of the application procedure; after decision on your candidature resp. if no employment contract arises, the data will be stored for 6 months; in case of receiving unsolicited applications or with your consent to keep the data for a longer period regarding a possible future employment (Talent Pool), the data will be stored for a maximum of two years.

Your right to information, rectification, deletion, object and data portability

You may avail yourself of your right to information, rectification and deletion of data at any time. Simply contact us using one of the methods described above. Should you require data to be deleted, which we are still legally obligated to retain, access to your data will be restricted (blocked). The same applies to an appeal. You may avail yourself of your right to data portability if the recipient and ourselves have the technical means.

Right of appeal

You have the option at any time to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Availability obligation

You can decide which information you provide. Fields marked with an * are mandatory fields that we require for the application procedure. Fields not marked with an * can be completed voluntarily. You are responsible for all content of your online application, such as photos, and you have to observe compliance with legal requirements, such as trademark, copyright, personal rights or other rights of third parties.

Unless you provide the mandatory information described above, it shall unfortunately not be possible to use our electronic application system.

Talent pool

If no suitable position may be offered to you at the time of your application, there is the option of inclusion of your data by collecting, processing and using the data you provided along the entire application procedure in our talent pool for a period of 24 months after the application procedure is concluded. This shall be done for establishing contact for professional purposes and for possible consideration in the event of a subsequent vacancy. You separately consent to this usage.

Security

Data protection and data security have top priority to us. Therefore, we use and implement certain technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized third parties. In the event of the collection and processing of personal data within the aforementioned scope, this information is transmitted in encrypted form in order to always ensure the adequate security of your data. We constantly adapt the measures to the technical development in order to be able to guarantee the greatest possible security also in the future.

Cookies

Within the scope of your online application, cookies are used.
Using these cookies, no personal data is stored, nor is any such data linked to your personal user data. Cookies are small text files that are sent from our web server to your PC and are usually stored there on your hard drive. They will not become part of your system and cannot cause any damage. The cookies shall be deleted after 7 days. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, please be informed, doing this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Most browsers are set to accept cookies automatically.

Loading profile data from social media

It is possible to upload your CV entries to your applicant profile from social networks such as XING. For this purpose, interfaces to the social networks are used. To do this, you need to log in to the social network using this portal. We shall not receive any information about your username and password. You can re-block access on the social network in the settings area (e.g. on XING select Settings -> Active logins). The legal basis for reloading the content of your profiles from social networks is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR, for applicants from Germany Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 (2) sentence 1 FDPA. You are entitled to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. For this purpose, deactivate the access in your social network settings as described above.
